Wife of Cuban Five denied US entry visa once again
HAVANA, Cuba, July 15 (acn) Once again, Washington has denied AdrianaPerez, the wife of Gerardo Hernandez, one of the Cuban Five, an entryvisa to visit her husband in prison. In yet another act of cruelty, the US State Department denied onWednesday an entry visa to Adriana, which will prevent her from visitingGerardo, unjustly incarcerated in the US along with Rene Gonzalez, RamonLabañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando Gonzalez for trying to prevent, peacefully and without weapons, the actions of Miami-based anti-Cubanterrorist groups, which have been supported by successive USadministrations.Gerardo was condemned to serve 15 years plus two life imprisonments and,as if this brutal and illegal punishment wasn’t enough, he has beendeprived of seeing his wife for 11 years. This decision confirms that, interms of sponsoring terrorism against the island, nothing has changed inWashington. In what has been considered in Cuba as a cynical analysis, the USSecretary of State said that Adriana “constitutes a threat for thestability and national security of the United States.”
